Meteor Crater, Arizona
Meteor Crater is located approximately 43 miles (69 km) east of Flagstaff, near Winslow in the northern Arizona desert of the United States. Its the location of a 50,000 year old crash site formed when a meteorite hit the earth. Scientists believe the meteorite's impact was 150 times stronger than the bombs that blasted the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II.
