Love in War
Love in War
This photo was taken by photographer Richard Lam as violence erupted
following the Canucks 4-0 defeat by the Boston Bruins. The couple have
been identified as Australian Scott Jones and his Canadian girlfriend
Alex Thomas.
They were between the riot police and the rioters and the riot police were charging forward and Alex got knocked by a police shield and fell to the ground. Scott was comforting her and gave her a kiss to say Its going to be OK and the photographer just took the shot at that moment.

I Wish
I wish I could see through your eyes
so I would know what you like to see.
I wish I knew your wishes,
so I could give you everything you want.
I wish I dreamed the same dreams you do,
and together we could make them come true.
I wish I knew what makes you happy,
so I could make you the happiest person in the whole world.
And lastly, I wish I were a cell in your blood,
so I would be sure I was somewhere in your heart.
so I would know what you like to see.

Don't Be Conditioned To Lose
Don't Be Conditioned To Lose
An eagle's egg was placed in the nest of a prairie chicken. The egg hatched and the little eagle grew up thinking it was a prairie chicken.
The eagle did what the prairie chickens did. It scratched in the dirt for seeds. It clucked and cackled. It never flew more than a few feet because that is what the prairie chickens did.
One day he saw an eagle flying gracefully and majestically in the open sky. He asked the prairie chickens: "What is that beautiful bird?" The chickens replied, "That is an eagle. He is an outstanding bird, but you cannot fly like him because you are just a prairie chicken."
So the eagle never gave it a second thought, believing that to be the truth. He lived the life of and died a prairie chicken, depriving himself of his heritage because of his lack of vision.
What a waste! He was born to win, but was conditioned to lose. Do not let people or situations or even yourself condition you to lose in life.

second son in 2 years! Astounding the community when he and his wife
welcomed their first son at 94 and 52 years old respectively, Ramit
Raghav has now done it again! Although some doctors question the
likelihood of this being true, Mr Raghav credits his daily diet of ghee
and milk for his excellent health. The couple reportedly have sex 3 to 4
times a night!
The Bus Passenger
The Bus Passenger
The passengers on the bus watched sympathetically as the attractive young woman with the white cane made her way carefully up the steps. She paid the driver and, using her hands to feel the location of the seats, walked down the aisle and found the seat he'd told her was empty. Then she settled in, placed her briefcase on her lap and rested her cane against her leg.
It had been a year since Susan, thirty-four, became blind. Due to a medical misdiagnosis she had been rendered sightless, and she was suddenly thrown into a world of darkness, anger, frustration and self-pity. Once a fiercely independent woman, Susan now felt condemned by this terrible twist of fate to become a powerless, helpless burden on everyone around her. "How could this have happened to me?" she would plead, her heart knotted with anger.
But no matter how much she cried or ranted or prayed, she knew the painful truth her sight was never going to return. A cloud of depression hung over Susan's once optimistic spirit. Just getting through each day was an exercise in frustration and exhaustion. And all she had to cling to was her husband Mark.

Be Kind To All
While collecting shells washed up on the beach,
you will see a few that are fragile, and you might neglect them as unworthy.
But once these shells are very beautiful.
You don’t know what kind of journey the had to take to get them in there fragile shape.
Same with people. Don’t neglect them if they seem unworthy.
You never know what journey they had through life.
Be kind to all..

Always Follow Your Dreams
Always Follow Your Dreams
There were once 2 brothers who lived on the 80th level. On coming home one day, they realized to their dismay that the lifts were not working and that they have to climb the stairs home.
After struggling to the 20th level, panting and tired, they decided to abandon their bags and come back for them the next day. They left their bags then and climbed on. When they have struggled to the 40th level, the younger brother started to grumble and both of them began to quarrel. They continued to climb the flights of steps, quarreling all the way to the 60th floor.
They then realized that they have only 20 levels more to climb and decided to stop quarreling and continue climbing in peace. They silently climbed on and reached their home at long last. Each stood calmly before the door and waited for the other to open the door. And they realized that the key was in their bags which was left on the 20th floor.
This story is reflecting on our life…many of us live under the expectations of our parents, teachers and friends when young. We seldom get to do the things that we really like and love and are under so much pressure and stress so that by the age of 20, we get tired and decided to dump this load.
Being free of the stress and pressure, we work enthusiastically and dream ambitious wishes. But by the time we reach 40 years old, we start to lose our vision and dreams. We began to feel unsatisfied and start to complain and criticize. We live life as a misery as we are never satisfied. Reaching 60, we realize that we have little left for complaining anymore, and we began to walk the final episode in peace and calmness.
We think that there is nothing left to disappoint us, only to realize that we could not rest in peace because we have an unfulfilled dream …… a dream we abandoned 60 years ago.
So what is your dream? Follow your dreams, so that you will not live with regrets.

Life is a Game of Cards
Life is a game of cards.
You did not invent the game, Nor did you frame the rules.
You have no control over the cards dealt to you.
But you are there to play..
A good player, even with a bad hand of cards, will play well and emerge a winner.
A bad player, even with the best of cards, will play badly and lose.

Confidence - Motivational Words
Contrary to popular belief confidence can not be obtained by purchasing a product or service. Businesses make millions by attempting to sell confidence. If you wear these clothes of drive this car you will feel confident. I disagree. Confidence takes quite some time to build. It is a combination of successfully completing many small goals. One can not realistically expect to build enough confidence to believe that they can accomplish something great when they can not accomplish the smaller goals.
Every time that you commit to something and then give up (without justifiable cause) you chip away at your confidence and self esteem. This may be something as simple as keeping a promise to yourself. Maybe you told yourself that you would clean your house every Friday, but when Friday comes you make some excuse and do absolutely nothing. How can you expect to commit to a strict diet or exercise program if you can’t even keep the small promises to yourself or others.
Many people are quick to dive into some new type of venture, but just as quick to quit. They never took the time to build confidence by fulfilling their own commitments. People expect commitment in area as complex as marriage. How can you truly commit to someone else when you can’t even commit to yourself?
Don’t expect other people to build confidence within you. Yes, it is nice when someone who matters encourages you or congratulates you. Others can help to build confidence, but unless you follow through on your own commitments, it makes little difference how many encouraging things that people tell you. Don’t ever forget the fact that they may be encouraging you in order to feed their own selfish motives. Follow through just for you. Build the confidence necessary to accomplish something great.
