Odisha Day also known as Utkal Divas is celebrated on 1 April in Odisha in the memory of the formation of the state as a separate province on 1 April 1936. Odisha (Orissa) is famous for its arts and handicrafts some of which include- Patta Chitra, Sand Art, Metal Work, Silver Filigree, Stone Carving and making Puppets and Masks etc.
