Amazing 1000-year-old Architecture - Brihadeeswara Temple, India

The Brihadeeswara Temple (also known as Big Temple) at Thanjavur in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. The entire temple structure is made out of granite and the temple tower (216 ft high) is among the tallest of its kind in the world. There is a big statue of sacred bull, carved out of a single rock, at the entrance measuring about 16 ft long and 13 ft high.

Built in 1010 AD by Raja Raja Chola I, it turned 1000 years old in 2010, is one of India's most prized architectural sites and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
